In this inpsiring story of courage and determination, Shevon Frederick illustrates what it is to be a naive young person taken advantage of by the world. She willingly offers the story of her life, providing intimate details about growing up in Trinidad, her successes, failures, and lessons learned, and ultimately her decision to return to God after spending so much of her life drifted, separated from Him.
"For years I have labeled myself a hypocrite. For years I have asked God why. For years I thought deliverance could never come. I have prayed, and I have fasted. I am trying my best, yet I continuously find myself falling into sin. But God's methods were always different than mine. I love the Lord. I love Christianity. I have seen other lifestyles, but Christianity is all I want, and Jesus is all I need. This is where I want to be; this is where I belong."
Drifted vividly depicts the importance of God's Word in our lives, and illustrates how truly worthwhile a life that is lived for Christ can be, regardless of one's past. This life-changing story of struggle and redemption will surely touch your heart, reinforce your trust in God, and encourage you to strengthen your own walk with Christ.
