Prayers from Scripture To Bring Deliverance and Healing

The Third-Heaven Epistle: Scriptural Prayer for Lasting Change

There are two specific passages in Ephesians I encourage you to include in your daily prayer time. The first one is Ephesians 1:17-23, which I have already converted into a prayer:

[I pray] that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to [me] the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of [my] understanding being enlightened; that [I] may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward [me] who believe[s], according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him for the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

The second passage is Ephesians 3:14-21, which I also adapted into a prayer here:

For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the hole family in heaven and earth is named that He would grant [me], according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in [my heart] thought faith; that [I], being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and heightto know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that [I] may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever, Amen.

There is Fullness of Life in the Name of Jesus

As you pray these prayers, listen to them in your heart. The revelation of Christ's power and your inheritance is not something that God is keeping a secret from you. It is something He longs to reveal to you by His Word through His Spirit. It's a revelation He has for you because you are part of the family of God. You've been bought with a pricethe precious blood of Jesusand your position of authority is part of the inheritance of your salvation.

You don't have to be defined by the circumstances surrounding you. By the power of Jesus, you can rise above every situation. Deliverance and healing are yours. Salvation belongs to you and your family. You can experience financial health. Your marriage can be blessed. Your children don't have to live in rebellion. Depression doesn't have to control your emotions. You can have a full life in the joy of the Lord, all because you've been risen with Christ and seated with Him above all.

Of course, problems will arise from time to time. That's life in a fallen world, and we have to deal with the flesh and the devil. The Bible tells us that we will have trials and tribulations in life. However, Jesus encouraged us to be a good cheer because He has overcome the world (John 16:33).

One way Jesus empowered us to overcome the world is by enabling us to overcome the perspective of the world. A believer who is not aware of his position in Christ is still trapped in the world's viewpoint of defeat, sickness, lack, sin, and brokenness. This attitude locks people into small-mindedness and the normal grind of earthly living. This is why it's so important for our minds to be renewed daily by God's Word. Romans 12:2 tell us, "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable will of God." What's interesting about his verse is that conforming to the world is a natural process that takes no effort. But transformation is a supernatural act.

Something supernatural happens when we renew our minds to the truth. God supernaturally transforms usthat's a promise!  You can come into God's presence and pray, "God, You promised that when I renew my mind to Your truth, You will transform me." Then begin declaring what God's Word says about who you are. If you do that, God promises you will come out of that place realigned to Him in accordance to your position.
